You clearly don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me clue you in: I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No! I am the one who knocks
Black Canary and Huntress by Jamal Igle
This is beautiful, and at the same time it makes me sad.
Jamal is one of my favorite artists and a beautiful human being. He was going to draw Birds of Prey, with me writing, and he was so excited he made these beautiful, full drawings of each character—Canary, Huntress, Oracle, Lady Blackhawk, and Misfit. They were STUNNING.
Something happened and it fell though, which sucked, because we were having troubles keeping a regular artist on the book (health reasons and other problems).
At a con in St. Louis, Jamal GAVE me a portfolio with all the sketches. I can’t tell you how overwhelmed I was, but also how sad it still makes me. I think working with him on Bop would have been LEGEND.
^Agreed!!!^ You all should see his runs on Supergirl, Zatanna, & The Ray! Excellent work by him, as always, in those three!
The fantastic surreal illustrations of Annie Owens, now showing through July 7th at the Bergamot Complex in Santa Monica
…took several dozen shotgun blasts at point blank range, and never left his feet. Bad acting? Or the toughest cinematic SOB ever?
I hate fake emcees/that always act hard/but wont walk the streets without a bodyguard.
